Project Highlights

This four-story, 126-bed dormitory building is 60,000 square feet and features a steel frame with an architectural brick and precast concrete exterior. Its other attributes include high-level interior finishes and details and innovative design and building systems. Each four-bedroom suite comes fully equipped with a kitchen, living room and two full bathrooms. The center of the building includes two large
common areas.

The lengthy town approval process made this project challenging from the beginning. It was originally planned to break ground in October, 2000 but since town approvals were not granted until mid-December, 2000, it turned into a full winter project. Despite this, Wilmorite was able to condense the schedule by two months with expert planning and sub-contractor cooperation. This allowed the College to make commitments to students for the approaching semester.
